Ndumiso also known as McCatiny is part of the elite Vryheid rap group Ground Zero. He says that he is passionate about music but he is more in love with being a fitness trainer and above all he is a father to his two beautiful daughters....

 

Ndumiso was born and bred in Vryheid and says that throughout primary to high school he played rugby and that was how easy it was for him to get into being a fitness coach. When asked about the target market for his business, McCatiny said Project-6-Pack caters for all age groups. ”My Style of training is more natural in terms of diet planning as well as the use of the Military style of training which enables you use what you have to work out and get your body in shape.”

 

McCatiny mentions that he is able to get ahead of his competitors by building harmonious relationships with his clients, he goes on to say that the venue at Vryheid public park wasn’t necessarily profit based but rather that was his way of giving back to his community, “when I was contesting for the Men’s Health Magazine cover I received a lot of support from my community and I’m truly grateful for that.”

 

The Project-6-Pack park session run for 1 hour and aim at body weight training as well as giving out free meal plans to clients as well as diet tips.

The Project6Pack owner says that his clients are very important to him and he puts their needs first, he has added branded caps as well T-shirts to make his clients feel at home but he also says it’s a great way to market his business. Ndumiso says that although he doesn’t own his own gym yet and relies on the free spots available in the community, the people of Vryheid still come in numbers to partake in

Project-6-Pack, McCatiny reckons that his trainees enjoy working out outdoors and they insist it stays like that.

Benefitting SMMES

Small Businesses play an important vital role in combat against Unemployment as well as job losses in South Africa, it is important that their growth is encouraged and Small Enterprises succeed. The relief is for businesses who have been effected directly or indirectly by the Corona Virus Pandemic, it is offered by the Department of Small Business Development for Small-Medium Enterprises. The Debt Relief Finance Scheme comes in form of a debt or financial aid assistance to help keep businesses afloat during pandemic.

 

Qualifying Criteria:

  1. The business must have been registered with CIPC by at least 28 February 2020;

  2. Company must be 100% owned by South African Citizens;

  3. Employees must be 70% South Africans;

  4. Priority will be given to businesses owned by Women, Youth and People with Disabilities;

  5. Be registered and compliant with SARS and UIF;

  6. SEDA will assist micro-enterprises to comply and request for assistance must be emailed to debtrelief@seda.org.za; Whereas small and medium enterprises must ensure own compliance;

  7. Registration on the National SMME Database – https://smmesa.gov.za

  8. Proof that the business is negatively affected by COVID-19 pandemic;

  9. Complete the simplified online application platform;

  10. Company Statutory Documents; k. FICA documents (e.g. Municipal accounts, letter from traditional authority);

  11. Certified ID Copies of Directors; m. 3 months Bank Statements;

  12. Latest Annual Financial Statements or Latest Management Accounts not older than three months from date of application – where applicable;

  13. Business Profile;

  14. 6 months Cash Flow Projections – where applicable;

  15. Copy of Lease Agreement or Proof ownership if applying for rental relief; GUIDELINES FOR APPLICATION: DEBT RELIEF FINANCE SCHEME: 28 March 2020

  16. If applying for payroll relief, details of employees - as registered with UIF and including banking details – will be required as payroll payments will be made directly to employees;

  17. SMME employers who are not compliant with UIF must register before applying for relief;

  18. Facility Statements of Other Funders; u. Detail breakdown on application of funds including salaries, rent etc.
